ST THOMAS OF CANTERBURY

We have a large Church and substantial parish centre, as well as the friary and grounds.

​

Inevitably, that means lots of maintenance and improvement programmes.
 

Fortunately, we are also a wealthy parish, and can pay for what we need.
 

However, there remains a problem with all those small jobs: getting a contractor to change light bulbs or fix leaking taps or whatever would not only be expensive, but would also take time.

Hence the Fabric Team: we do what we can ourselves, as many would in their own homes.

We are a small group of varyingly competent DIY folk who are the first port of call when something needs fixing.

​

Anything we cannot do, lacking either the time, competence or qualifications, is passed to a professional.

​

We always need more help!
 

If you can offer some skill/experience and some time, please get in touch and find out more about us so that you know whether you can commit to coming on the team for a period.

 

Every so often, we also get together, part socially and part business (to exchange information and knowledge, and do some planning).
