Diocese of Brentwood - Vision Document
On the Feast of the Epiphany, we received a letter from Bishop Alan in which he re-launched the Vision Document- Shaping Our Future. A lot discussion and work had taken place and then it was put on hold by the Covid Pandemic. The Bishop wishes us to use the Parish Council as the instrument for parishes together reaching the people of Essex and East London. Pope Francis tells us the focus of our Council should be the ‘missionary aspiration of reaching everyone.’ This initiative is taking place in the Diocese as the whole Church is engaged in the Synodality process. I understand this as a constant conversation in faith within parishes and between parishes about what the Holy Spirit is asking of us specifically, in our time.
