The Parish Summer Concert

Saturday June 29th at 7.45 pm

A parish concert will pay tribute to the 800th anniversary of the Franciscan arrival in Britain, and will also commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings. A few days before D Day, a massive military convoy drove past the front of our church on its way to France. Local residents ran out to wave them off, several of our parishioners were amongst them.

The Lux Aeterna Orchestra, together with the Parish Singers and soloists will offer a wonderful programme featuring the Vivaldi Gloria, a Cimarosa oboe Concerto, the Sanctus from the Armed Man and the Lark Ascending. Concert goers will have the opportunity to raise their own voices in Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem.

Please buy your tickets in advance from the Parish Office, the repository or from a choir member. £15 centre aisles with reservations & £13 side aisles, to include a free programme and interval refreshment.
